• What payment methods do you accept? Cash, check, credit and debit cards. As well as CashApp.

  • Can I bring my kids? Yes, bring the whole family! Lots of places for the family to walk around Edmonds while you have your service done, and there is plenty of room for the kids in the Kingston studio. In addition, your kids are welcome to hang out with us while you get your hair done. Unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed in the Edmonds space anymore, even though they are family!

  • Should I shampoo my hair before my color service? Its not necessary, however all over color, where color is on your scalp, may slightly irritate some skin types a bit more because shampooing stimulates the hair follicle. If we are doing an all over bleach and tone, do not wash before we bleach.

  • My hair color is changing after I left the salon, what should I do? Whither it be a Semi, Demi, or Permanent, color will always fade. Depending on a variety of contributing factors, including porosity, density, gray percentage, lifestyle, sulfate/paraben shampoo and conditioners. Each individual is unique to their fade out process. For example the molecule of a red dye is larger than that of a brown dye, thusly will sit on top of the cuticle shaft and wash out faster, so its harder to get red to stay. Simultaneously, once that red molecule has really made its way into the cuticle after repeated processes, sometimes pulling reds out can take a couple treatments. If you are unsatisfied with your color you have a 2 week grace period to contact me so i may correct the situation for you, but after that point you will have to pay full price for a service.

  • I like ash blonde, but my hair keeps fading yellow, what do I do? Ash blonde is beautiful, but it is the most high maintenance color. Usual upkeep is between 6 and 8 weeks for retouches to prevent banding. Secondly, if you do not tone blonde hair regularly it can become brassy, toners in salon are in the form of a liquid or a cream. The tone contains no ammonia or developer so will not damage the hair but lasts between 10-20 shampoos. Toners need to be touched up between 2-3 weeks. These dyes will actually make your hair softer. Lastly, purple shampoo is an absolute must; these shampoos have an additional violet pigment that counteract yellow tones. Use purple shampoo every other wash.

  • How soon before a big event should I color my hair? A good rule of thumb is to color 2 weeks before any big event such as, photo shoot, wedding, television appearances or special occasions.
